Strategy

Scientists work so that their research can contribute to citizen health. This is the fundamental motivation of the scientist. However, there is a great distance between the development of new knowledge and its final repercussion for patients. In Digna Biotech we try to shorten this distance. The development of a system allowing interaction with the research center (CIMA) in a more effective and synergic manner is the principal task of Digna Biotech. In this way the flow of new products from research to therapeutic application is guaranteed.

In recent years, the research funded by FIMA has given rise to a series of patents that protect the commercial exploitation of a series of products of potential therapeutic and diagnostic use.

Digna Biotech was created with the goal of continuing this research to develop potential therapeutic and diagnostic applications.

CIMA is committed to offering high quality research. The development of a system allowing interaction with the research centre in a more effective and synergistic manner is the principal task of Digna Biotech. This ensures a flow of new products from research to therapy.

The proximity of Digna to the source where new knowledge is generated creates opportunities to obtein results in an early stage of research. This in turn facilitates the adequate protection of these results with strong patents, which will later be developed by Digna or licensed to other companies.
