Biotecnol and Digna Biotech extend their existing collaboration on the development of Cardiotrophin-1 through an exclusive marketing, promotion and option agreement

Biotecnol and Digna Biotech have announced today that they have extended their existing collaboration, on the co-development of cardiotrophin-1 (CT-1), for use in organ transplantation and tissue regeneration. CT-1 has been shown to have protective and regenerative effects against ischemic and reperfusion injury associated with organ transplantation and liver resection due to primary and secondary tumours, mainly originating from colorectal cancers. Both applications have a growing market with large unmet needs. The agreement involves a series of options that allow both parties to gain access to each other’s technologies, know-how and recognized expertise.
