Our Research Center

The CIMA is one of the leading private biomedical research centers in Spain. It focuses on the quest for solutions to diseases in four clinical areas that account for 90% of all deaths in the western world: oncology, cardiovascular physiopathology, neuroscience and finally gene therapy and hepatology.

CIMA was founded under the management and sponsorship of the Foundation for Applied Medical Research (Fundación para la Investigación Médica Aplicada, FIMA). Its mission is to promote basic and clinical research initiatives in the fields of health sciences and biomedicine.
