CIMA currently employs approximately 400 researchers and technicians and is involved in 22 research programs.
The projects are implemented in about 40 laboratories and are interdisciplinary in nature, bringing together a wide array of professionals, from physicians to biologists, biochemists, geneticists, chemists, pharmacists, and others, to work in basic research with a marked emphasis on clinical application. CIMA also collaborates with other research institutions at both national and international level, partnering with research centers in Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Sweden, the United Kingdom, the United States, etc.
