Research Centre
CIMA is a leading private biomedical research centre in Spain. It focuses on the quest for solutions to diseases in four clinical areas that are responsible for 90% of all deaths in the western world: oncology, cardiovascular physiopathology, neuroscience, and, finally, gene therapy and hepatology.
CIMA was founded by the initiative and through the sponsorship of the Foundation for Applied Medical Research (Fundación para la Investigación Médica Aplicada, FIMA). Its mission is to promote basic and clinical research initiatives in the field of health sciences and biomedicine.
